This page describes what TrueSaath Matrimony and TrueSaath Dating actually do with your data, in plain language, grounded in the real features below rather than generic template text. It is written by the people who built the product, not by a lawyer, and has not yet had a formal legal review — treat it as an accurate description of current behaviour, not as a finished legal instrument.
Account details (name, email, phone), the profile you write (career, education, family background, community, lifestyle, future plans), photos you upload, birth details only if you choose to add them for kundli matching, messages you send on the platform, and basic usage signals (login times, device token if you enable push). We do not buy data about you from anyone else.
Computing your compatibility scores, running the optional Guna Milan and psychometric comparisons, showing your profile to people whose visibility settings and non-negotiables you actually pass, and detecting scam language in messages before it reaches you. Nothing here trains a model that is shared outside this platform.
We measure our own traffic ourselves. There is no Google Analytics, no third-party analytics script, and no advertising cookie anywhere on this site — nobody outside TrueSaath receives a record of the pages you read here.
From Settings you can export a complete machine-readable copy of everything we hold on you, or permanently delete your account. Deletion removes your profile, photos and messages; it does not remove messages you sent that another member's account retains a copy of, for the same reason a text message can't be unsent from someone else's phone. Consent for each data-processing purpose is tracked and can be withdrawn where the feature allows it.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, plus a short window after deletion to prevent abuse (recreating a banned account, for instance). Safety reports and moderation records are kept longer, as most platforms with a trust and safety function do.
A few things are done by specialist providers rather than by us directly, each seeing only what its job needs: our payment gateway (Razorpay) processes card and UPI details — we never see or store your full card number; our email provider delivers the emails the platform sends you; and the optional AI features (compatibility explanations, the conversation coach, Practice a date) send the relevant text to an AI provider (OpenAI) to generate their responses — under terms that do not permit training on it. None of these providers may use your data for their own purposes.
When we are running advertising, our website loads a measurement tool from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), known as the Meta Pixel. It tells Meta which pages of our site you viewed and whether you created an account, so that we can tell which adverts actually bring people to TrueSaath rather than paying for clicks that go nowhere.
Meta is different from the providers above, and we would rather say so than bury it. The providers listed above work only for us. Meta uses what it collects for its own advertising business as well. We do not send Meta your name, your email address, your photos or anything from your profile — only that a visit or a signup happened, and which of the two apps it was for. You can limit this in your browser's privacy settings and in your Meta ad preferences, and blocking it does not affect anything on TrueSaath.
This runs only while we are actively advertising. When we are not, no Meta code is loaded by our site at all.
Both apps are for adults only. We do not knowingly hold data on anyone under 18, and an account found to belong to a minor is deleted.
If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you what happened, what of yours was involved and what we are doing about it, and notify the authorities the DPDP Act requires — plainly and promptly, not buried in a settings page.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the grievance officer can be reached at care@truesaath.com. Complaints are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. It is the same address as everything else on this page rather than a separate legal desk, so a privacy request is read by someone who can actually action it instead of being forwarded on.
