NRI
Non-Resident Indian: an Indian citizen living abroad, and loosely any person of Indian origin overseas.
NRI strictly means an Indian citizen who lives outside India; in matrimonial use it covers anyone of Indian origin abroad, including citizens of other countries (technically OCIs or PIOs). An "NRI match" is a match with someone settled abroad.
