What do you write in a baptism card?

A short blessing for the child, congratulations to the parents and, if you know them, a word to the godparents. "May God bless you and keep you" or a line about faith and love fits most families. Keep it simple; the card is often kept for the child to read when older.

Is a baptism the same as a christening?

In everyday use, yes: christening is the older word for the baptism of a child, when water is poured or the child is immersed and received into the church. Some churches use only "baptism", and some baptise adults as well. Follow the word on the invitation.
